Trinasolar Introduces Latest PV and Energy Storage Solutions in Vietnam

Published

on

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Trinasolar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, introduced its Vertex N G3 TOPCon 3.0 solar modules, with a power output of up to 760W, and Trina Storage’s 6.25MWh Elementa 3 battery energy storage system (BESS) at its recent event in Ho Chi Minh City. The offerings expand Trina’s PV and energy storage portfolio in Vietnam as industrial growth and artificial intelligence data centres (AIDCs) increase demand for electricity and flexible power supply.

The International Energy Agency projects global data centre electricity consumption to rise from approximately 485TWh in 2025 to 950TWh in 2030. Vietnam’s digital infrastructure strategy also calls for the development of AIDCs and hyperscale data centres by 2030. Vertex N G3 and Elementa 3 address the generation and storage needs associated with this growth, supporting greater use of solar electricity to meet demand from AIDCs.

Why Choose TOPCon 3.0 Solar Modules?

Vertex N G3 is built on Trinasolar’s TOPCon 3.0 cell technology and incorporates four core technological upgrades. Ultra cell platform technology increases power output and bifacial performance. Multi-cut technology and edge passivation technology reduce current losses and improve shading and hot-spot performance. Ultra-high density packaging technology improves module efficiency and energy yield.

A bifaciality of 85% ± 5% supports additional rear-side generation where site conditions allow, while the −0.26%/°C power temperature coefficient helps limit power losses in Vietnam’s hot climate. A maximum annual degradation of 0.35% from the second year onward, backed by a 30-year power warranty, provides developers with a defined basis for modelling long-term output and project revenue.

Solar and Battery Storage Applications in Vietnam

Trina Storage also presented Elementa 3, its 6.25MWh utility-scale BESS built on in-house 587Ah cells. Elementa 3 supports renewable energy integration and flexible power supply, including in grid-connected projects, as Vietnam expands solar generation to meet growing demand from industry and AIDCs.

Trinasolar’s solar-plus-storage project at Corona Resort in Phú Quốc provides a local proof point of its PV and BESS delivery capabilities. The project combines a 3MWp solar installation with a 10MWh AC-coupled BESS retrofit, demonstrating how battery storage can be added to an existing commercial solar system. Vertex N G3 and Elementa 3 extend Trina’s portfolio with higher module output and greater storage capacity per container, giving developers and EPC contractors greater flexibility in meeting project capacity and site requirements.

Hoymiles HiOne All-in-One BESS Powers Thai Homes with More Resilient, Flexible Energy Systems

Published

on

By

BANGKOK, Oct. 12, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Thailand’s hot and humid climate, growing household electricity demand and the need for greater power reliability are driving more homeowners to look beyond solar generation alone. Hoymiles’ HiOne all-in-one BESS system, paired with HiBox gateway, is helping households in Bangkok make better use of solar power, manage electricity consumption and maintain power availability during grid interruptions.

Meeting Thailand’s Growing Residential Energy Needs

For Thai households, hot climate drives heavy air-conditioning use, while high electricity costs and power interruptions create demand for systems that offer more than daytime solar generation.

The market is also moving toward wider residential solar adoption. According to the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Thailand had 3,310 MWp of cumulative rooftop solar capacity by the end of 2024. In 2026, the government also introduced a residential solar feed-in program targeting up to 500 MW of capacity nationwide, allowing eligible households to sell surplus solar electricity to utilities at THB 2.20/kWh under 10-year power purchase agreements.

In this context, local installer COMSYS SOLAR has deployed Hoymiles HiOne systems with HiBox gateway across multiple residential properties in Bangkok. Configurations include 10kW or 12kW of solar capacity with 8kWh or 16kWh of storage, allowing each system to be matched to the household’s energy needs.

Flexible Solar-plus-Storage for Greater Energy Resilience

Hoymiles’ HiOne BESS integrates the inverter, battery and energy management system (EMS) into a minimalist, space-saving design. With maximum efficiency of 98.5% and more than 8,000 battery life cycles, HiOne combines efficient energy conversion with long-term performance.

New and existing batteries can be mixed through built-in DC-DC technology, with storage capacity expandable from 8 to 64kWh. Its AI-powered time-of-use (TOU) optimization adjusts charging strategies based on electricity prices and household consumption patterns to maximize self-consumption and reduce electricity costs.

The HiBox gateway serves as a central hub for whole-home backup, providing seamless off-grid switching to help keep household appliances running during grid outages. It also supports system expansion through an additional inverter, compatible third-party generators and PV inverters, as well as smart load management through its Smart Port.

Hoymiles’ HiOne helps Thai households make better use of locally generated solar power while adapting to changing electricity demand. The multiple installations by COMSYS SOLAR in Bangkok demonstrate how flexible system configurations can meet diverse household energy needs and support more resilient residential energy use.
