Wiegand-Glas selects Elisa Industriq to modernize production planning across four manufacturing sites

Leading German glass manufacturer producing more than eight million glass containers per day to improve planning, strengthen supply chain visibility and support more efficient production operations.

HELSINKI, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Wiegand-Glas, one of Germany’s leading glass manufacturers, has selected Elisa Industriq’s supply chain planning solutions from sedApta to support production planning and scheduling across its manufacturing operations.

Operating four manufacturing sites in Germany with a combined production capacity of more than eight million glass containers per day, Wiegand-Glas supplies customers across the beverage and food industry. To support future growth and improve planning efficiency, the company is investing in a more data-driven approach to production planning and decision-making.

Using Elisa Industriq’ s sedApta planning solutions, Wiegand-Glas aims to enhance demand planning, inventory management, production planning and factory scheduling processes. The solution will provide greater visibility across operations, support the simulation of different planning scenarios and help planners balance customer demand, inventory levels and production capacity.

“Production planning in the glass industry is particularly complex. Companies must balance long production campaigns, changing customer demand, inventory levels and manufacturing constraints, often months in advance. We are pleased to support Wiegand-Glas as they modernize their planning processes and build greater visibility and agility across their operations,” said Michael Fatum, Managing Director of Elisa Industriq Germany.

The new planning environment will support more efficient collaboration between sales, production, planning and management teams, helping optimise production schedules and improve responsiveness to changing market requirements across Wiegand-Glas’s manufacturing network.

“Our goal is to standardize planning processes, establish a unified data foundation for forecasting, and implement semi-automated production recommendations that balance key performance targets – while respecting operational constraints. Thereby, interactive simulations allow us to evaluate the impact of every decision on critical KPIs, improving transparency, accelerating alignment, and driving operational excellence. The glass-specific experience of Elisa Industriq in industrial planning and manufacturing operations made them suitable partner for this transformation project,” said Lukas Neubauer, one of the managing directors of Wiegand-Glas.

The two parties are exploring business opportunities in stablecoin payments and corporate treasury management.

Jointly identifying new use cases and business opportunities in stablecoin-based global payments and fund transfersReviewing the potential of digital asset-based financial infrastructure for global corporate finance and treasury managementLinking MoonPay’s global network with Dunamu’s GIWA blockchain to support global ecosystem expansion

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MoonPay, a global crypto payments and stablecoin infrastructure company, is pursuing a strategic collaboration with Dunamu in the field of global financial infrastructure built on digital assets.

The two companies will jointly identify new business opportunities across areas including stablecoin-based global payments and fund movement, and corporate finance and treasury management. By combining MoonPay’s global financial services and network with Dunamu’s technology and business capabilities, including its GIWA blockchain, they plan to explore the potential applications of digital asset-based financial infrastructure.

First, the companies will look for collaboration opportunities in global payments and fund movement using stablecoins. Drawing on both companies’ technology and infrastructure, they will review a range of cases in which digital assets can be used for cross-border payments and fund transfers, and examine the business potential of new financial service models.

The companies will also pursue collaboration in global corporate finance and treasury management. They will jointly review ways to apply digital asset-based financial infrastructure to corporate finance and treasury operations, and identify related business opportunities and usage models.

Expanding Dunamu’s GIWA blockchain ecosystem is another key area of collaboration. Leveraging their respective global ecosystems and partner networks, the two companies will explore ways to broaden access to GIWA-based services and digital assets and strengthen the GIWA ecosystem’s global connectivity. In particular, by linking MoonPay’s global services and network with Dunamu’s blockchain infrastructure, they aim to increase overseas market access for services and assets within the GIWA ecosystem and jointly identify new business opportunities in global markets.

“For stablecoins to function as global financial infrastructure, it is important to have the technology and network to support not only cross-border payments and fund transfers, but also the real financial operations of businesses,” said Bugeon Lee, Head of APAC at MoonPay. “By combining Dunamu’s blockchain capabilities with MoonPay’s global financial infrastructure, we will explore new possibilities for digital assets and work together so that the GIWA ecosystem can expand into global markets.”

Going forward, MoonPay and Dunamu plan to firm up the technical and commercial potential in their main areas of collaboration, namely stablecoin-based global payments, corporate finance and treasury management, and GIWA ecosystem expansion, and to continue identifying new business opportunities that draw on both companies’ strengths.
