Depose Enhances Deposition Preparation, Appearances, and Analysis for Litigation Teams by Unifying All Matter Knowledge

NEW YORK, Aug. 9, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Laer AI, the developers of Aida Discovery, announce the launch of Depose, a groundbreaking deposition AI capability. Extending Aida Discovery’s current review automation and fact development offerings, Depose significantly improves deposition and litigation outcomes for law firms, legal service providers, and corporations.

By unifying knowledge, Aida Discovery offers those powerful capabilities to the litigation industry…

Depose is designed to enhance control, acumen, and efficiency in preparing and appearing for depositions, and in post-deposition transcript analysis. Built on the same innovative platform as Aida Discovery, Depose allows litigation teams to seamlessly work across all matter knowledge in a unified experience, for deep and reliable automation and insights.

This functionality enables users to dynamically identify critical factual themes, assess the impact of new information in real-time, and develop thorough deposition strategies.

Key Benefits for Litigation Teams:

Engage with All Knowledge: Depose unifies knowledge across the document collection, reviewer tagging, prior testimony, pleadings, and any other information source supplied, including the internet, for unprecedented control over deposition outcomes.Simplify Exhaustive Preparation: Dynamically develop witness fact sheets and deposition outlines, identify key documents and prior testimony, evidentiary conflicts and corroboration, factual strengths and weaknesses, and develop and test strategic themes, all reliably grounded in source evidence.Increased Control over Appearances: During live testimony, Depose enables the second chair with on-demand insights and context over unanticipated testimony, topics, and exhibits or documents, for immediate impact assessments and maintaining control.Tailored Transcript Analysis: Depose enables dynamic, automated transcript summaries, structured extractions, and the ability to correlate facts across witness depositions and documents, enhancing the depth and breadth of case understanding.

“We are witnessing an explosion of naïve technologies that rely too heavily on a single large language model. By unifying knowledge, Aida Discovery offers those powerful capabilities to the litigation industry, where Generative AI solutions are too often unreliable, unexplainable, and simply not scalable,” said CEO, Igor Labutov, PhD.

“Depose represents another milestone for Laer AI and brings key innovations in applied AI and large language models into a single experience, creating a clear strategic advantage in this very sensitive and critical deposition setting,” said CTO, Bishan Yang, PhD. “It is exactly in these very complex settings where AI can be the most impactful.”

Laer AI will be revealing Depose at ILTACON 2024 and welcome all to learn more about the company, Aida Discovery, and the powerful new capabilities. Laer AI representatives will be available at booth #861 and are also accepting meetings through their website Laer AI.

Fathom Applauds Introduction of the FRONTIER Act, the First Federal Blueprint for Independent AI Verification

Published

Reps. Lori Trahan (D-MA-03) and Jay Obernolte (R-CA-23) introduce a bill to build a competitive marketplace of independent verifiers for frontier AI models.

WASHINGTON, July 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Fathom welcomes the introduction of the FRONTIER Act, the most complete federal framework yet for independent, third-party verification of frontier AI. The legislation is built to earn public trust as AI technology continues to accelerate. As frontier systems begin to take autonomous action in the world, the gap between what these models can do and our ability to keep them in check is widening. FRONTIER is the starting point to close that gap.

“AI governance keeps running into the same wall. The technology is hard to measure and it moves faster than any law can keep up with,” said Andrew Freedman, Co-Founder and CEO of Fathom. “Trying to write the perfect rules and freezing them in place won’t work. What will work is a competitive market of independent verifiers who are accountable for real-world outcomes and who the government can actually count on. The FRONTIER Act shows we can move fast and still get this right.”

The bill gets the fundamentals correct. It sets one public standard – the adequate mitigation of catastrophic risk – and holds both the AI companies and their independent verifiers accountable to it. FRONTIER does not freeze a single testing method into statute. Instead, it licenses competing verification organizations, allows them to sharpen their methods, and gives the government the power to revoke a license when a verifier’s work does not hold up in the field. That is how you build a system that keeps pace with the science instead of falling behind it.

Fathom thanks Reps. Trahan and Obernolte for their leadership, and for their courage in releasing a discussion draft, inviting scrutiny, and incorporating substantive improvements from across the field. One priority improvement as the bill advances: giving the government a fuller range of tools to act upstream – for pushing companies to close identified gaps in risk mitigation early, rather than only once a catastrophe is imminent. We are committed to working with these sponsors, committees of jurisdiction, and Congressional leadership to continue refining the bill in the weeks and months ahead.
