International Montessori Academy continues delivering high-caliber early education
following sale of school and Candler Park real estate

ATLANTA, Aug. 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Furthering its mission to provide nurturing and culturally diverse education, International Montessori Academy in Atlanta’s Candler Park neighborhood has been sold to Cadence Education, a leading provider of early learning and community-oriented Montessori programs across the country. The confidential sale of the school and its real estate was led by HINGE Early Education Advisors, the nation’s leading expert in growing and selling childcare businesses.

International Montessori Academy was founded by Montessori educator Zaki Swaray-Rowe, who is originally from Sierra Leone. The school serves children 8 weeks to 12 years old with programming aligned to international standards of academic excellence. It brings together a thriving global community with more than 20 nationalities represented among families and staff.

“The world needs more Montessori education to nurture individual children, promote peace, and foster a greater appreciation for diversity. Atlanta is a fabulous place to bring this to life,” says Swaray-Rowe.

Prior to International Montessori Academy, Swaray-Rowe founded and ran four other Montessori schools in Georgia. She opened her first Montessori school in London when she couldn’t find a local Montessori program for her son to attend.

“This starts by laying the foundation for long-lasting communities of families and teachers who are united in their beliefs about how to help each child unlock their full potential,” she says. “For International Montessori Academy, it was equally important to find a provider that would invest further in delivering high-quality Montessori education and opportunities for our staff. HINGE Advisors’ competitive process uncovered the right buyer to do just that.”

“We brought International Montessori Academy to market and received interest from a number of well-respected education buyers,” explains HINGE Transaction Advisor Nan Rikard, who also founded Atlanta-based Big Blue Marble Academy, now one of the nation’s largest early education providers. “After going through a very selective process, we made a deal with the wonderful team at Cadence Education who will carry on Zaki’s remarkable legacy.”

The sale closed with the support of a team of early education business experts from HINGE Advisors, including Rikard, Diligence Manager Carrie Pergerson, Senior Financial Analyst Rusty Bailey, and Coordinator Marissa Webster.

“Having sold other schools, I knew I needed a team to support me with this strategic move for our community. HINGE Advisors advocated for the best interests of our school and has been an extremely valuable partner in setting International Montessori Academy up for more good things to come.”

Systech Launches New All-in-One Pharma Packaging and Serialization Stations

Published

By

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Systech, part of Markem-Imaje and Dover and a leading provider of pharmaceutical serialization and traceability solutions, today announced the launch of two new integrated packaging solutions designed to help pharmaceutical manufacturers and contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) increase automation, improve operational efficiency and enhance production flexibility.

The new ST15S Semi-Automated Serialization and Aggregation Station and ST16P Multi-Aggregation and Automated Label Print & Apply Station operate seamlessly with industry-leading UniSeries® software, integrating critical packaging, serialization, aggregation and labeling functions into compact, easy-to-deploy systems. By consolidating multiple processes within a single station, these systems help manufacturers reduce complexity, optimize labor resources and improve packaging productivity without requiring significant line modifications or facility expansion.

“Packaging operations today are under constant pressure to increase output, maintain compliance and do more with constrained labor and facility resources,” said Steve Engdahl, Vice President of Product at Systech. “The ST15S and ST16P were developed to help manufacturers automate critical packaging processes without introducing additional complexity. By bringing serialization, aggregation, rework and labeling capabilities together within integrated systems, customers can streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.”

The ST15S Semi-Automated Serialization and Aggregation Station combines semi-automated serialization, manual case aggregation, pallet aggregation and rework capabilities within a single workstation. Functions that traditionally require multiple stations for printing, inspection, aggregation and rework can now be performed through a unified system managed from one interface. By reducing operator handoffs and consolidating workflows, the ST15S helps minimize product handling and simplify day-to-day packaging activities.

The ST16P Multi-Aggregation and Automated Label Print & Apply Station combines semi-automated Pack-by-Layer aggregation with automated label printing and application in a single ergonomic platform. By integrating multiple aggregation processes and automating label management, the system helps teams reduce manual intervention, improve consistency, and perform aggregation activities more efficiently while supporting compliance requirements.

“Our product strategy begins with understanding the day-to-day challenges packaging teams face on the production floor,” continued Engdahl. “Those insights guide us toward opportunities where automation can reduce complexity and strengthen overall packaging performance. The ST15S and ST16P reflect that customer-driven approach by delivering practical automation solutions that help manufacturers enhance productivity while remaining adaptable to changing production requirements.”

Available now, these new systems expand Systech’s integrated packaging, serialization and traceability portfolio. Built on proven Systech platforms, the ST15S and ST16P can be deployed as part of an existing Systech-managed line or alongside third-party equipment already in place, avoiding the cost and disruption of a complete line redesign. By bringing greater automation to established packaging environments, the systems help manufacturers optimize workflows, protect existing technology investments and add advanced packaging capabilities.
