New 75,000-square-foot facility to open in October 2026 near Salt Lake City International Airport, extending company’s national reach for medical device manufacturers

ATLANTA, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — GlobalMed Logistix (GMLx), a specialized logistics partner to the medical device industry, today announced it will open a new facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, establishing a bi-coastal distribution and logistics network purpose-built for the medtech industry. The move marks GMLx’s first major expansion since becoming a standalone company earlier this year with the backing of strategic healthcare investor Water Street Healthcare Partners.

Our new Western U.S. hub extends our reach, deepens our customer support and opens the door for next-generation medtech

A burgeoning medtech hub anchored by a strong life sciences ecosystem, Salt Lake City adds a strategic location to GMLx’s network of facilities. Scheduled to open in October 2026, the 75,000-square-foot facility is located in Raceway Commerce Center near Salt Lake City International Airport. It will support medtech manufacturers with a full suite of specialized services, including inventory management, order fulfillment, surgical tray and kit assembly, warehousing, reverse logistics, quality control, and tissue storage and distribution.

“Our customers do some of the most demanding work in healthcare, and they count on us to deliver every product to the right place at the right time, every time,” said Scott Vane, president and COO of GMLx, who led the expansion initiative. “A bi-coastal network sharpens our speed, reliability and precision, which brings us closer to the healthcare customers and patients our partners ultimately serve.”

The Salt Lake City facility extends a national network that today supports leading global orthopedic, spine, cardiovascular and dental manufacturers across the United States. GMLx has signed a long-term lease on the new facility and is customizing the build-out to its operational specifications.

“As medtech innovation accelerates and surgical care becomes more complex, manufacturers want a logistics partner that can scale with them,” said Patrick Daly, CEO of GMLx. “Opening our new facility in Salt Lake City extends our national reach, deepens our support for existing customers and opens the door for the next generation of medtech manufacturers looking for a partner built specifically for surgical logistics.”

GMLx will be actively recruiting for roles at the Salt Lake City facility in the coming months.

TPIsoftware Partners with Juxta to Bring Advanced, Satellite-Free Positioning Tech into Security Sectors

Published

By

TAIPEI, July 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TPIsoftware has signed a global reseller agreement with Juxta, a US-based tech innovator specializing in Universal Positioning System (UPS), to deliver geospatial tracking applications to customers across regions.

Through this agreement, TPIsoftware will help manage the reselling network and provide system integration services across multiple regions. Juxta’s proprietary UPS technique will be incorporated into TPIsoftware’s integrated AI solutions to enable autonomous, real-time positioning for enhanced tracking accuracy and security in disaster prevention and mitigation, healthcare and logistics management to build resilience against signal jamming and interference.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) has been widely used but faces vulnerabilities such as limited coverage, signal jamming and spoofing due to its reliance on satellites for navigation. To address these challenges, Juxta’s UPS is built with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors and advanced machine learning to achieve real-time navigation, asset tracking and workflow automation without expensive hardware like receivers, beacons and cameras.

UPS supports sub-meter tracking accuracy anywhere on Earth even in circumstances where GPS is denied and the signal is obstructed. UPS has been field-tested and deployed across government, defense, logistics, and healthcare environments where reliable positioning is critical. It can support full-scale operation monitoring, continuous positioning inside tunnels, indoor and underground space, and navigation for unmanned systems operating in mountainous or remote areas where signal reception is limited or disrupted. The technology has also been applied to healthcare asset tracking, warehouse and logistics operations, and other mission-critical environments requiring continuous, infrastructure-free positioning.

“Partnering with TPIsoftware strengthens our regional presence, allowing us to tap into their integration capabilities and established networks to enter broader markets across APAC,” said John Ferrara, Juxta Founder and CEO. “Designed to overcome the limitations of traditional tracking technologies, our revolutionary Universal Positioning System (UPS) delivers a hardware-free, offline-capable platform that transforms any environment into an intelligent, continuously trackable space.”

“The strategic collaboration extends our reach to industries with higher compliance standards while enabling deeper integration of our proprietary AI solutions with Juxta’s positioning capability,” said Yilan Yeh, TPIsoftware General Manager. “By leveraging Juxta’s accurate positioning and anti-jamming techniques, we can further support customers in healthcare, disaster prevention and logistics sectors in Taiwan and those beyond APAC with on-premises AI deployment for enhanced data sovereignty, security and resilience.”

Manhattan Associates Introduces Sightline™, Bringing Decision Intelligence to Supply Chain Planning

New capability reveals the reasoning behind every AI-driven forecast, recommendation, and inventory decision in ActivePlanning, deepening planner trust by turning hours of off-system investigation into in-application answers within seconds

SYDNEY, July 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Manhattan Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: MANH), the global leader in native AI-empowered supply chain commerce solutions, has unveiled Sightline, a new capability within ActivePlanning™, to reveal the reasoning behind AI-driven forecasts, recommendations, and inventory decisions in plain business language.

Sightline brings the “why” behind projected outcomes directly into the application, from a single order line to an entire network. It gives planners forensic-level understanding of the factors shaping forecasts, orders, and inventory positions, including forecast inputs, safety stock decisions, vendor minimums, lead times, promotional effects, fulfillment shifts, and network movements.

For decades, planners have had to leave the system and work in external analysis tools to understand the logic behind planning decisions. Sightline changes that by delivering real-time, in-application analysis that turns hours of off-system investigation into answers in seconds. Planners can quickly understand why a forecast changed, why a projection ran high or low, or what factors drove a recommendation.

Advanced AI forecasting can often feel like a black box that requires a data scientist to do the analysis. Forecasts get adjusted by AI, replenishment recommendations come from AI, and allocation decisions get nudged by AI. Practitioners often have difficulty understanding exactly why it’s doing what it’s doing. But with Sightline they get real-time, in-application analysis, turning hours of investigation into answers in seconds.

Sightline also introduces dynamic, configurable views built around how planners actually work, whether by role, promotion, activity, or a combination of those perspectives. These views across forecasts, order projections, and planned inventory levels are enabled through a new configurable workspace for planners, reducing time spent answering routine “why” questions and eliminating the need for third-party business intelligence tools or Excel.

“At Manhattan, we are committed to continuous innovation and simplification, which helps our customers work smarter and move faster,” said Brian Kinsella, senior vice president and chief product officer at Manhattan. “With Sightline, we’re giving planning teams a powerful new way to understand the drivers behind every outcome, accelerate decision-making, and drive higher productivity across the supply chain.”

Sightline establishes a new mandate for planning software by embedding explainability directly into the planning system, so users can investigate outcomes where decisions are made.
