CURVE Sports Expands Platform with Knights Knation, Strengthening Development Pathways and National Baseball Infrastructure

Published

The nationally recognized Louisiana-based organization joins the CURVE Sports platform, bringing its deep development network, recruiting expertise, and player-first culture into CURVE’s growing operator-led ecosystem.

MANDEVILLE, La., June 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CURVE Sports today announced that Knights Knation Baseball has joined the CURVE Sports platform, which we believe further strengthens the company’s ability to support long-term player development, club leadership, and sustainable growth across youth baseball.

Knights Knation, one of the premier development organizations in the country, will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership while gaining access to CURVE Sports’ shared infrastructure, development systems, and technology platform.

Founded in 2007 by former Major League pitcher, longtime MLB scout, and current Los Angeles Dodgers National Pitching Crosschecker Jack Cressend, Knights Knation has built a nationally respected reputation centered around player development, recruiting support, relationships, and long-term athlete growth.

The alignment reflects CURVE Sports’ long-term strategy: building a baseball-first operating platform that supports great leaders, preserves local culture, and raises standards across development, operations, and the family experience—without centralized control.

“Jack and the Knights Knation leadership team have built one of the most respected development organizations in amateur baseball,” said Sandy Ogg, CEO of CURVE Sports. “Their experience, relationships, and commitment to doing things the right way align directly with how we believe the future of youth baseball should operate. This partnership is about supporting what they’ve built while giving them access to additional infrastructure, technology, and long-term platform support.”

Since its inception, Knights Knation has helped over 1,000 players continue their careers at the collegiate level, while also producing more than 100 MLB Draft selections and multiple Major League players. The organization operates a growing network of affiliate programs across the Southeast and beyond, with strong relationships throughout high school, collegiate, and professional baseball.

Through the alignment with CURVE Sports, Knights Knation will utilize the CURVE Sports platform, including:

The Allegiance membership ecosystemThe CURVE Test performance assessment platformObjective player development data and longitudinal trackingExpanded recruiting and player promotion supportOperational infrastructure and administrative servicesSavings programs for travel, hotels, equipment, and family expenses

The partnership also reinforces CURVE Sports’ “Test. Train. Compete. Recruit.” development philosophy—connecting objective player evaluation, training systems, competition environments, and recruiting visibility into one integrated ecosystem.

For players and families, the partnership enhances access to:

Clearer long-term development pathwaysAdvanced performance testing and objective athlete dataExpanded recruiting guidance and exposure opportunitiesGreater transparency throughout the development processA connected national network of aligned organizations and resources

Importantly, Knights Knation will remain led by its existing leadership team, with day-to-day operations, coaching philosophy, and culture unchanged.

“We built Knights Knation around relationships, development, and helping players maximize their opportunities both on and off the field,” said Jack Cressend, Founder and CEO of Knights Knation. “Joining CURVE Sports allows us to continue operating with the same vision and standards while gaining access to a broader platform that can enhance the experience for our players and families through technology, data, and expanded infrastructure.”

Knights Knation’s longstanding “#4L” philosophy — representing “Knights 4 Life” — has become a defining part of the organization’s identity, emphasizing lifelong relationships, accountability, development, and family culture throughout the program.

This announcement builds on the launch of CURVE Sports, which brings together Diamond Allegiance and CURVE Test Centers into a unified ecosystem. The launch of CURVE Sports is supported by a long-term partnership from Weatherford Capital, The Ogg Family, and Matthew Scattarella. Founded by Drew, Sam, and Will Weatherford, Weatherford Capital brings deep experience scaling mission-driven organizations, informed by a lifetime of competitive sports. Their relationship-driven approach—known as The Weatherford Way—prioritizes disciplined process, teamwork, learning, and long-term impact.

“Youth baseball is incredibly fragmented,” said Drew Weatherford, Founding Partner of Weatherford Capital. “Organizations like Knights Knation have been building real trust with families over decades through consistency, development, and leadership. CURVE Sports exists to support operators like Jack and his team with the infrastructure, systems, and long-term capital that can help them continue to scale their impact without compromising who they are.”

“This is how CURVE Sports grows,” Sandy Ogg added. “By partnering with experienced operators, supporting strong leadership, and expanding the platform in a way that strengthens the game, not fragments it.”

CURVE Sports plans to continue welcoming aligned organizations into its ecosystem as part of its mission to build a stronger, more sustainable future for youth baseball.

Stronger Together isn’t a slogan. It’s how the platform is built.

Florida Health Information Exchange Selects CRISP Shared Services to Modernize Interoperability and Transform Care Across the State

CRISP Shared Services will launch updated tools and capabilities, enabling better access and affordability in support of “Better Health Care for All Floridians”

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. and COLUMBIA, Md., June 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — CRISP Shared Services (CSS), a nonprofit providing health infrastructure and data exchange technology across the nation, is the new platform for Florida Health Information Exchange (Florida HIE) governed by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). As AHCA’s new partner, CSS has been working to transition Florida HIE over the past year to provide enhanced care coordination, consent management, and improved interoperability. The transition will go live on July 1, 2026, with expanded healthcare entity participation in the network.

“Florida’s healthcare providers do their best work when they have the right information at the right time,” said Shevaun Harris, Secretary, AHCA. “Under Governor DeSantis’ leadership, we are committed to putting patients first — and Florida HIE’s new era of smarter, more affordable interoperability is proof of that progress.”

With CSS, Florida HIE will become the state’s most technologically advanced source of healthcare information across the care continuum. Starting July 1, the new network will go live with a significant expansion of participating organizations, including a nearly 5% increase in hospital bed coverage, representing nearly 3,500 more beds, and over 200% increase in skilled nursing facilities participating with the network. These figures are projected to continue to grow.

“To support modern, sophisticated care, Florida hospitals need the most complete, accurate, and powerful clinical health information,” said Mary C. Mayhew, president and CEO of the Florida Hospital Association. “We applaud the AHCA expansion of Florida HIE, which is essential to hospitals’ ability to deliver coordinated and effective care to the state’s growing population, including our most rural and vulnerable communities.”

With the CSS platform powering its capabilities, Florida HIE will:

Waive annual fees for small to mid-size providers. With the new Florida HIE, CSS’s national nonprofit model will waive all service fees for small to mid-size providers in support of a robust health information network. This new fee structure supports more predictable budgeting, sustainability for safety-net providers and community health organizations, and reduces administrative and financial barriers to participation.Enhance Event Notification Delivery. CSS’s real-time alerting solution will notify healthcare providers about their patients’ hospital encounters by matching an organization’s patient roster with admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) data, then pushing those alerts directly into clinical workflows. In the future, the alerting solution will include data beyond ADTs, offering significant enhancements catered to unique provider and organizational needs.Expand and Diversify Data Sources. CSS will help expand Florida HIE’s data sources, including working to expedite integrations of more data types, such as consolidated clinical documents (CCDs) and Observation Result (Unsolicited), or ORUs, in alignment with HL7® FHIR,® the national standard for interoperability. This expansion will significantly improve the quality and comprehensiveness beyond encounter data to include historical and expansive patient and diagnostic data such as laboratory and radiology results, clinical observations and diagnoses, medications, vitals, and information on preventive and chronic care measures, such as cancer screenings and prediabetes testing.Optimize the AHCA Rural Health Transformation Program. Florida HIE will serve as the technological backbone of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) awarded to the state.

“Florida HIE is on a mission to transform healthcare in the state through health information technology, and CSS is proud to help them accomplish their ambitious and innovative goals,” said Craig Behm, president and CEO, CSS. “With improved access, affordability, and services, Florida HIE is setting a new standard for usable health information for providers and organizations, unlocking new opportunities across the state.”

Florida HIE has been onboarding participants and subscribers since September 2025 to ensure a seamless go-live date on July 1, 2026. AHCA and CSS are providing hands-on support to reduce interruptions to notifications, patient records, or current integrations. For more information about Florida HIE, visit https://www.flhie.org/.
