Wultra Named the Only Sample Vendor for Post-Quantum Authentication in Gartner® Hype Cycle™ — Two Years Running

Published

on

Recognition comes as Europe moves from post-quantum planning to implementation, and as banks face growing pressure to modernize their authentication infrastructure.

PRAGUE, Aug. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Wultra, a European provider of post-quantum authentication and digital identity solutions for financial institutions, has been listed as the only Sample Vendor for Post-Quantum Authentication in the Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Digital Identity, 2026. It’s Wultra’s second consecutive year mention in the category.

Preparations for the post-quantum transition are accelerating across Europe. Under the EU’s coordinated roadmap, Member States should begin transitioning by the end of 2026, while critical infrastructure should transition as soon as possible, no later than the end of 2030.

For banks, the challenge is significant. Authentication infrastructure often remains in production for many years, meaning systems deployed today may still operate as advances in quantum computing increase risks to current public-key cryptography.

Gartner® notes: “By 2030, advances in quantum computing will likely weaken and break the conventional asymmetric cryptography that underpins many authentication methods. This will significantly reduce the credence that these methods can provide, increasing enterprises’ exposure to ATO risks. Thus, migration to postquantum authentication is a critical task.”

The technical foundations are also taking shape. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has standardized the first post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, governments are publishing migration roadmaps, and financial institutions are increasingly requiring quantum-ready capabilities in authentication tenders.

Wultra addresses this challenge by building cryptographic agility into its authentication technology, enabling financial institutions to evolve cryptographic mechanisms as standards and security requirements change.

“Post-quantum authentication is no longer a speculative topic. It’s becoming a practical requirement as signals from analysts, regulators, customers, and technology providers continue to align. The uncertainty is no longer whether institutions need a post-quantum migration strategy, but how quickly they can put one in place,” says Petr Dvořák, CEO of Wultra. “That’s exactly why we designed our authentication solutions to be cryptographically agile and ready to support financial institutions in the transition to post-quantum security.”

Wultra provides authentication and digital identity solutions to more than 70 customers across 25 countries, including Raiffeisen Bank International, Erste Digital, and OTP Bank.

BioArctic and Mesenkia enter oncology research collaboration

Published

on

By

STOCKHOLM, August 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BioArctic AB (publ) (NASDAQ Stockholm: BIOA B) and Mesenkia Therapeutics announced today that the companies have signed a research collaboration agreement to explore a novel antibody-based approach for glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive and treatment-resistant forms of brain cancer, where effective delivery of large molecules to the brain remains a major challenge.

The collaboration combines BioArctic’s proprietary BrainTransporter™ technology with an antibody, developed with Mesenkia’s KITAIbodies® platform. The antibody targets HVEM[1], a protein found on the surface of certain glioblastoma tumor cells, including tumor stem cells. By addressing these cells, which are thought to contribute to tumor recurrence and treatment resistance, the project aims to unlock new treatment possibilities for patients with a very high unmet medical need.

Under the agreement, BioArctic will be responsible for generating a novel drug candidate by combining its BrainTransporter technology with Mesenkia’s antibody. BioArctic and Mesenkia thereafter plan to perform preclinical studies to validate the concept and, based on the results of these studies, decide on next steps.

This research collaboration represents an important step in expanding BioArctic’s BrainTransporter pipeline into oncology and further validates the platform’s potential beyond neurodegenerative diseases. It also builds on BioArctic’s core expertise in development and delivery of pharmaceuticals to the brain.

“We are excited to broaden our research and take a first step into oncology through this collaboration,” said Gunilla Osswald, Chief Executive Officer of BioArctic. “Glioblastoma remains one of the most challenging cancers to treat, with limited therapeutic options and poor prognosis for those affected. By combining our BrainTransporter technology with Mesenkia’s innovative antibody approach, we aim to target key disease-driving mechanisms to develop new ways to treat this devastating disease.”

“This agreement marks an important step for Mesenkia and creates clear opportunities to explore a new treatment strategy for patients with glioblastoma together with BioArctic. The need for new treatments is substantial, particularly given the challenge of delivering medicines to tumor cells throughout the brain. By combining Mesenkia’s antibody expertise with BioArctic’s BrainTransporter technology, we can address one of the disease’s key barriers in a new way. We look forward to advancing the concept together with BioArctic, with the long-term goal of enabling better treatment options for patients and their loved ones,” said Moa Fransson, Chief Executive Officer of Mesenkia.

Approximately 60 Financial Advisors Representing $7.2 Billion in Client Assets Gather in New York City

Annual Program Reflects Oppenheimer’s Continued Investment in the Development and Long-Term Success of Its Next Generation of Advisors

NEW YORK, Aug. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. (Oppenheimer), a leading investment bank, wealth manager and subsidiary of Oppenheimer Holdings Inc. (NYSE: OPY), recently hosted its fifth annual Next-Gen Peer-to-Peer Forum in New York City, bringing together approximately 60 Financial Advisors from across the country.

Held at One World Trade Center overlooking Lower Manhattan, the program gave attendees an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss common challenges and learn from one another. Collectively, the participating advisors represent approximately $7.2 billion in assets under management and $41 million in annual revenue.

“Now in its fifth year, the Next-Gen Peer-to-Peer Forum reflects Oppenheimer’s commitment to investing the time and resources into developing the next generation of advisors,” said Ed Harrington, Executive Vice President and Head of Oppenheimer’s Private Client Division. “The event brings together advisors who are building substantial businesses but at the same time navigating similar challenges. By giving them a setting to speak candidly and share practical insights, we help them strengthen how they serve clients and continue growing their practices.”

Oppenheimer developed the Next-Gen Peer-to-Peer Forum to help emerging leaders develop the skills, relationships and perspective required to build successful careers. The program forms part of the firm’s broader investment in the long-term success of its advisor workforce.

Discussions throughout the program focused on the issues shaping the future of the wealth management industry and the decisions that will influence the growth of attendees’ businesses. Topics included building scalable practices, developing effective teams, incorporating artificial intelligence and other technologies to improve efficiency, differentiating investment advice and positioning practices to meet the evolving expectations of future generations of clients.

The Forum also encouraged attendees to challenge conventional thinking and offer candid perspectives on what it takes to compete in a rapidly changing industry. Their engagement, thoughtfulness and willingness to contribute underscored the strength of Oppenheimer’s next generation of advisors.

“The Peer-to-Peer Forum works because the advisors drive the conversation,” said Nicholas Siconolfi, Managing Director and Head of National Sales for Oppenheimer’s Private Client Division. “Each of our Next Gen advisors brings a unique perspective, but they all share a common goal of continuously enhancing the client experience while building practices designed to endure and adapt. The ideas exchanged throughout the forum help shape the future of our firm. Our advisors learn from one another, and as leaders, we gain invaluable firsthand insight into what they need to succeed. Every year, this event reinforces that the future of our firm is in very capable hands.”

“Oppenheimer is an ideal place for advisors to build and grow their careers over time,” Harrington added. “We are committed to giving talented advisors the tools, resources and support they need to succeed, and the Next-Gen Peer-to-Peer Forum is an important part of that commitment. It helps emerging leaders strengthen their professional networks, develop as business owners and play a meaningful role in the future of the firm. We believe the most important investment we can make is in our people. The firms that endure are those that develop talent, not simply acquire it. By bringing together advisors who are committed to building exceptional practices, we are helping to develop the next generation of leaders while strengthening the long-term future of Oppenheimer and the clients we serve.”

NGP VAN Launches Navigator, Bringing the Power of Natural-Language Search to the Progressive Ecosystem’s Most Powerful CRM

Published

Navigator lets campaign staff search their CRM the way they think by simply describing who they want to find.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — NGP VAN today launched Navigator, a natural-language search assistant built directly into Create a List (CAL), NGP’s core segmentation tool. Navigator uses AI behind the scenes to turn plain-language requests into the filters and criteria needed to find the right people. Create a List allows campaigns and organizations to search their databases and identify specific groups of supporters based on their giving, activity, contact information, and other criteria. It’s the foundational tool for surfacing the most critical data in order to take action.

Beginning today, a fundraiser or digital director can go into NGP’s Create a List tool and simply describe the people they are looking for using natural language. Navigator translates that request into the appropriate search criteria. The fundraiser can see exactly what Navigator has selected, change anything they want, and then run the search.

NGP VAN is developing additional Navigator capabilities to make other everyday campaign tasks easier, including bulk uploading data and analyzing canvassing notes, along with more ways to use Navigator to create lists.

“Our mission has always been to empower the people driving the progressive movement forward – the organizers, fundraisers and digital teams doing hard work to engage people on the ground. We’re not interested in duct-taping AI into our products just to say we can,” said NGP VAN General Manager Chelsea Peterson Thompson. “The test for us has always been simple: Will this save a campaign time? Does this help a first-time candidate get started? Can an organizer or fundraiser use this to have the right conversation with the right person at the right time? Ultimately, does it help elect more Democrats? If the answer is yes, that’s where we want to invest.”

For decades, Democratic and progressive campaigns have used NGP VAN to track the people who power the progressive ecosystem: voters, volunteers, activists, and donors. Teams use this critical information to run data-driven campaigns and programs.

Traditional software has forced users to learn and then translate searches into the system’s language through a combination of searches, filters, and criteria, not their own. For first-time organizers, fundraisers, or candidates, it slows critical work down. Today, NGP VAN is starting to break down those barriers to the first knocks, calls, and conversations.

“Navigator is about meeting our users where they already do their work and making it easier to find the right people,” said Lou Levine, Senior Vice President at NGP VAN. “You tell Navigator who you’re trying to find, it builds the search, and then you can run it as-is or tweak anything you want. This is just the beginning of how we’re thinking about making the tools campaigns already rely on easier and more intuitive to use.”

Importantly, the user stays in control. Navigator is an optional starting point inside the existing Create a List page. Users can use it, skip it or switch to a manual search at any point. Every criterion Navigator generates is visible and editable, and nothing runs without the user’s approval. Previously saved searches are unaffected.

At launch, Navigator can work with eight commonly used search options: Activist Codes, Addresses, Email, Online Forms, Recurring Commitments, Contributions, Contribution Summaries and My Saved Lists.

Navigator is available beginning today to NGP VAN users with Create a List access in NGP databases, with additional capabilities coming soon.
