Talogy assessment tool recognized for its contribution to building workplace resilience

New book on resilience, written by leading experts on the psychology of lawyer behavior, credits 30 years of Talogy’s Caliper Profile

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Talogy, a global leader in talent management solutions, has been recognized for its pivotal role in advancing workplace resilience research in a new book Thin-Skinned: Why Lawyers Are So Low in Resilience and the New Science That Can Help.

Published by the American Bar Association, the book by leading legal psychology experts Dr. Larry Richard and Dr. D’Arcy Lyness credits 30 years of data from Talogy’s Caliper profile assessment as the foundation for its insights into high-stakes workforce performance.

Drawing from a database of 4.5 million Caliper assessments, the book highlights a central workplace paradox: the very traits required for exceptional job performance are often the exact traits that leave professionals vulnerable to stress. Specifically, Dr. Richard’s data shows that lawyers average just 30% on resilience, compared to 50% for the general public, with nine out of 10 scoring in the bottom half of the resilience scale. This is a pattern that has remained unchanged since 1994.

“In the three decades that we have been evaluating and coaching legal professionals, we have seen a clear pattern,” said Dr. Larry Richard. “Law schools admit, firms hire and clients reward individuals who demonstrate high skepticism, high urgency, high self-reliance and an intolerance for error. While those traits produce stronger legal documents and won cases, our research shows they also predict rumination, defensiveness, isolation and difficulty coping with criticism, stress and change.”

This dynamic extends far beyond law. Any workforce that hires and promotes for vigilance, perfection and precision under pressure faces the same risks, such as manufacturing safety leads, ICU charge nurses, compliance officers, federal investigators or public safety supervisors.

By using Talogy’s assessment data to view resilience as a measurable trait rather than a temporary mood, leaders across all organizations can act on three core operational insights:

Early risk detection: Identify psychological risk factors before they lead to turnover, prolonged absences, or safety incidents.Separating skill from leadership: Recognize that a top individual performer is not automatically equipped to be a resilient leader.Actionable intervention: Address workforce vulnerabilities directly using science-backed development strategies.

“The Caliper Profile measures the innate personality traits and behavioral motivations that dictate how individuals process stress, setbacks, and criticism,” said Nataliya Baytalskaya, Ph.D. and Managing Research Scientist at Talogy. “Low resilience is not a barrier, it is a developmental opportunity. By leveraging objective measurement, organizations can deploy targeted, evidence-based strategies that help high-performing teams adapt under pressure without sacrificing their operational edge.”

Authors to participate in exclusive LinkedIn Live session, September 30 at 12pm ET

Dr. Larry Richard and Dr. D’Arcy Lyness will join Talogy for a 30 minute conversation to uncover what the science of resilience can teach us about building stronger, more sustainable high-performing teams. Sign up.

Edge storage integration deepens across the IBC show floor as attendees get their first live look at the Pro Mini Smart Drive moving through active production workflows

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — iodyne, leader in high-performance and smart data storage solutions, today announced its presence at IBC2026, running Sept. 11-16 in Amsterdam. The storage solutions provider will demonstrate how deeply its drives have become embedded in the daily workflows of its partners. During the show this year, iodyne will be co-exhibiting with professional video software provider, Hedge, at booth 7.A36. Additionally, iodyne’s solutions will make a special appearance powering workflows across the Adobe, RED Digital Cinema, and Cintegral Technologies booths. IBC2026 will also mark the first time European audiences see the Pro Mini Smart Drive, winner of Best of Show at NAB 2026, working live across multiple stops on a single show floor.

“Pro Mini is finally out of the display case and moving through real jobs at this show, starting at the Hedge booth for capture and archive, over to Adobe for AI creative and search workflows, and onto RED for raw ingest, a single Pro Mini can handle all of these different workflows and keep your data safe,” said Michael Gitig, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives of iodyne.

Across every booth, iodyne will showcase how their storage solutions move high-resolution footage through workflows without slowing down, staying encrypted and RAID-protected the entire way.

Powering the Show Floor

iodyne’s presence at IBC2026 spans four partner booths, each showcasing encrypted, RAID-protected data moving from capture through color, ingest, and archive without a hitch. Here’s where to find it on the show floor:

Hedge (Booth 7.A36): Hedge is running iodyne storage across a full capture-to-archive pipeline on its booth, pairing Hedge’s OffShoot, Canister, EditReady, Canopy, Mimiq with iodyne Pro Data and Pro Mini to show attendees a verified, encrypted transfer at every step, from the initial offload off camera media through to long-term archive.

Adobe (Booths 13.D501, 7.B35): iodyne is showing up across multiple Adobe workflows this year, from Premiere to After Effects, including native-resolution RAW grading inside the new Color Mode in Premiere, an integration first detailed in iodyne’s Premiere Color Mode workflow story. iodyne will also publish a new episode of its Workflow Kitchen series featuring Dave Helmly from Adobe, covering the AI-driven features Adobe has released over the past year and how they fit into faster color and post pipelines.

RED Digital Cinema (Booth 11.C35): At the RED Digital Cinema booth, iodyne Pro Data will support live, fast, and secure R3D RAW workflows, building on the streamlined card-free ingest setup that the two companies showed earlier this year at NAB Show and Cinegear Expo.

Cintegral Technologies (Booth 1.D25): iodyne rental partner, Cintegral Technologies, is making its IBC debut focused on connectivity services for the European market, including private 5G and free-space optical (FSO) transmission for productions that need to move data without a fixed line. As it expands into connectivity, Cintegral says the Pro Mini remains central to its business.

“For me, what makes the Pro Mini so invaluable to us as a business is the intersectionality it provides across all our verticals,” said Dane Brehm, Production Technologist of Cintegral Technologies.

“Having the Pro Mini as a premium product when people know us for our storage-as-a-service gives us the opportunity to interest them in our other offerings, like the connectivity we’re showcasing for IBC. Utilizing a premium product in an excellent partnership builds trust and creates Cintegral’s secret sauce for success.”

Getting studio-grade data workflows into the field is a business imperative across sports, cinema and TV. iodyne points to its case study with the Dallas Cowboys on off-site content production, alongside a new case study with CineLab, as examples of that shift. iodyne invites IBC attendees to stop by any of its partner booths to talk through how the same edge workflows could apply to their own productions.

iodyne’s drives remain the fastest in the storage category while staying fully encrypted and RAID-protected—a standard the company calls TruePut. At IBC2026, iodyne puts its drives to work, demoing how faster encrypted transfer speeds cut down both the time spent offloading footage in the field and the cost of shipping physical drives back to a home base.
