The Guthrie Clinic Partners with HTC Global Services for Digital Transformation

TROY, Mich., Feb. 26, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — HTC Global Services Inc. and The Guthrie Clinic, a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system, today announced their partnership toward enabling Guthrie’s digital transformation initiatives.

“HTC’s partnership with Guthrie is a major milestone in our continuous innovation and digital transformation journey,” said Terri Couts, Chief Digital Officer – The Guthrie Clinic. “HTC’s digital expertise complements our current team and will further empower us to enhance our patient and caregiver experience as well as strengthen the local community.”

HTC will be leveraging their IT infrastructure modernization, Data & AI, and workplace digital transformation services to support Guthrie’s strategic business and IT priorities. As part of the multi-year partnership, HTC will also establish a local IT service delivery center to hire and train talent within the community and collaborate with Guthrie’s team to further enhance operational efficiencies. The new IT service delivery center will also be leveraged to provide IT services for other large healthcare systems in the US.

The new IT service delivery center is planned to be operational, with an initial team of 20+ members, from mid-March 2024 at Guthrie’s Sayre facilities and is expected to double its capacity within the next six months.

Apple Health app Users to be Able to Order Labs from Quest Diagnostics

Coming later this year, Apple Health app users will be able to conveniently and securely purchase and receive results of Quest’s biomarker lab testing directly in the app

SECAUCUS, N.J., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX) today announced that Apple Health app users in the United States1 will be able to conveniently purchase a tailored Quest laboratory test panel that includes over 50 biomarkers directly through the app on iPhone and iPad later this year. Apple first announced the upcoming update today at its September event.

“By embedding the Quest lab testing experience within the Apple Health app, we are making testing simpler, smarter and more available to people who want to connect biomarker and biometric insights to own their health,” said Richard Adams, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer, Quest Diagnostics. “This integration will help bridge the gap between clinical and consumer health and serve the growing interest in preventive health and wellness.”

The Quest laboratory panel is designed to deliver preventive health insights and includes biomarkers for assessing cardiometabolic health and organ function. The panel also includes biometric readings that measure blood pressure, height, weight, and waist and hip circumferences, which may provide additional insights into metabolic health.

Users can purchase and schedule their blood draw and biometric readings at one of Quest’s approximately 2,000 patient service centers in the United States for $119.

Shortly after testing, lab results will appear within the Apple Health app. Quest collaborates with third-party providers to review and approve all test orders and, at the user’s request, discuss test results and next steps for no additional charge.

Chronic health conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes, affect as many as three in four American adults, yet can often be prevented if acted upon in early stages, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Biomarker laboratory testing can identify early, asymptomatic signals of several chronic conditions, empowering individuals to make behavioral changes to reduce disease risk.
