BOGOTÁ, Colombia, Feb. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Dock and Credibanco have joined forces to support Bre-B, a new instant payments tool launched by Colombia’s Banco de la República to transform the Colombian payment system. Credibanco, recognized for creating electronic payments in Colombia, and Dock, a leader in banking and digital payments in Brazil and Pix participant, will serve as an intermediary for this innovative solution. Bre-B aims to transform the Colombian payment ecosystem by offering businesses, companies, and individuals safe, secure, and efficient transfers available 24 hours a day.

Launching in September 2025, the system will revolutionize transfers in Colombia with real-time payments, reducing transaction costs, eliminating waiting times, optimizing cash flow, and improving the overall payment experience. The use of keys and QR codes make the technology accessible to unbanked people and businesses while it adheres to the highest security standards, promoting innovation, financial inclusion and minimizing fraud.

“We are committed to implementing an interoperable immediate payment system in Colombia, an initiative led by Banco de la República through Bre-B,” said Ricardo Zambrano, President of Credibanco, “Our partnership with Dock strengthens this national effort by combining Credibanco’s expertise in the Colombian market with Dock’s proven technology. Our proposal is the only one that is born 100% in the cloud, designed specifically for Bre-B, which guarantees easy implementation, rapid adoption and innovation in different use cases.”

To facilitate the adoption of this new system, Credibanco will support its customers — banks, cooperatives, fintechs, commerce and companies — at each stage of the integration process with Bre-B through specialized technical support, onboarding tools, and educational resources to simplify implementation.

Credibanco’s solution is based on a comprehensive approach that encompasses everything from technological infrastructure to customer support. The platform is robust and scalable, allowing customers to process immediate transfers with the highest security and availability standards. Security, a key component in instant payments, is another fundamental pillar of Credibanco’s offering. To ensure maximum protection in transactions, a partnership was established with Feedzai, a company specialized in fraud prevention through artificial intelligence. Feedzai is internationally recognized for effectively protecting Pix transactions in Brazil and is now integrating with the instant payments solution in Colombia.

“The Bre-B project aligns with everything we believe in at Dock—our core mission of achieving true financial inclusion in Latin America,” said Antonio Soares, CEO of Dock. “The transformative impact of Pix in Brazil has shown us that instant payments can change realities. With Bre-B, we reaffirm our commitment to democratizing access to financial services and creating opportunities for progress across the entire region.”

The instant payment model has a proven track record of success across countries, like the success of Pix in Brazil. Dock, a strategic ally in the implementation of this system, brings its experience in scalable solutions and its knowledge of the Latin American market to enhance Credibanco’s proposal for its Instant Payment System that will be a part of the Bre-B ecosystem. This alliance will ensure open access for all stakeholders, allowing efficient implementation and development of solutions adapted to local needs.

Responsible for processing more than 220 million monthly Pix transactions in Brazil, Dock lays the foundations for a scalable and secure solution model. “It is this technological strength and innovative capability of Pix that we are bringing to Colombia,” added Soares.

The two companies will incorporate key features that have contributed to Pix’s success, while undoubtedly making a positive and groundbreaking impact on Bre-B.

Private investment comes as Arcanus builds out Canadian manufacturing capacity for autonomous aerial systems

DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Yazan Al Homsi, a UAE-based investor and managing partner of Catalyst Communications DMCC, has invested US$500,000 in Arcanus Aerial Systems Inc., a Toronto-headquartered developer and manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems for defence, public safety and critical infrastructure customers. Al Homsi is an investor only and holds no operational, advisory or board role with the company. Other terms were not disclosed.

Arcanus is a Canadian-controlled company. It currently lists more than 15 platforms across heavy-lift, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), cargo, strike and counter-drone missions. According to the company, its published line-up includes:

AB 516e: a long-endurance vertical take-off fixed-wing aircraft rated for three hours of flight.AE 401: a counter-drone interceptor with a top speed of 300 km/h.AC 5250: a cargo platform with a 250 kg payload and a range of more than 2,300 km.

Alongside defence, Arcanus markets its systems for wildfire detection, search and rescue, Arctic sovereignty, border and maritime patrol, and pipeline and power line monitoring.

The company has spent 2026 assembling its domestic production base. In April, Arcanus signed a binding term sheet with Portugal-based Beyond Vision, granting it rights to manufacture, commercialize and support Beyond Vision’s unmanned aerial systems in Canada.

In June, Arcanus announced a five-year agreement appointing FeralX Systems Inc. as a non-exclusive Canadian contract manufacturer for several of its platforms.

“Canada has the engineering talent to build these systems at home, and recent years have shown how much depends on having that capacity domestically,” said Yazan Al Homsi. “What stood out to me about Arcanus was the manufacturing groundwork already in place: licensing, a production partner, and a range of aircraft that serves wildfire crews and search-and-rescue teams alongside defence customers.”
