University Medical Center Göttingen Takes a New Approach to the Use of Clinical Data

Published

on

UMG is advancing its data integration center and becomes the first German university hospital to introduce MDClone’s internationally established ADAMS model.

Göttingen, Germany and BEER-SHEVA, Israel, Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) is the first hospital in Germany and the European Union to introduce MDClone’s ADAMS platform. The platform will build on UMG’s existing data integration center, UMG-MeDIC, making the clinical data already consolidated there easier and more secure to use for research, patient care, and quality management.

In doing so, UMG adopts ADAMS by MDClone, a data utilization model already in use at leading international healthcare institutions such as UChicago Medicine, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and Sheba Medical Center.

“With ADAMS, we are the first university medical center in Germany and the EU to adopt an internationally proven model of data utilization. Our aim is to make our data infrastructure even more accessible to our staff,” says Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Brück, Chairman of the Executive Board, Executive Board Member for Research and Teaching, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University Medical Center Göttingen. “Particularly in an increasingly challenging economic environment, innovation is becoming a decisive factor for the future viability of hospitals. Data can help us better understand care processes, identify areas for improvement, and advance medical quality and economic efficiency together on a data-driven basis.”

With ADAMS, authorized staff will be able to explore longitudinal clinical data independently within a controlled and secure framework and investigate questions without relying on central IT or analytics resources for every analysis. The goal is to make data available more quickly for research questions, the further development of treatment pathways, quality improvement, and the analysis of clinical processes.

Synthetic Data for Faster Research Projects and Stronger Data Protection

Another focus is on synthetic data. Based on real clinical data, the ADAMS platform can generate synthetic datasets that reflect the statistical properties of the original data without sharing real patient records. This opens up additional opportunities for research, for the development and testing of AI applications, and for collaboration with other scientific institutions and external partners.

“With the Medical Informatics Initiative, Germany has created a strong foundation for the use of clinical data. The task now is to generate as much value as possible from this infrastructure for research and patient care,” says Bruno Lempernesse, CEO of MDClone. “Internationally, we see healthcare systems moving from merely providing data toward active, organization-wide data utilization. The University Medical Center Göttingen is now the first institution in Germany and the EU to take this path.”

UMG-MeDIC was established as part of the nationwide Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). With ADAMS, UMG is systematically advancing this existing infrastructure and adding a utilization layer for research, patient care, and quality management. This is intended to ensure that the investments made have a lasting impact beyond individual funding periods.

As AI moves from answering to acting, organisations must confront new realities around security, governance and accountability.

SINGAPORE, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AI is moving from systems that generate answers to agents capable of making decisions and taking action. As this shift begins to reshape security operations, infrastructure and enterprise environments, GovWare Conference and Exhibition 2026 will bring together global cybersecurity leaders from 13 to 15 October 2026 to examine what must change, and what must remain anchored, as cyber moves at agentic velocity.

Held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore, as the anchor trade platform of the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) and supported by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), GovWare 2026 is expected to convene more than 15,000 attendees from over 90 countries and regions, alongside 300+ speakers and more than 300 exhibitors from across government, industry and the cybersecurity community.

“Cybersecurity took several decades to evolve from a specialist technology concern into a whole-of-economy responsibility. AI is now driving another transformation, only at far greater speed,” said Richard Ireland, CEO of GovWare. “As systems become capable of making decisions and taking action with greater autonomy, no organisation can navigate the implications alone. The need to connect government, industry and practitioners, exchange knowledge and build trusted partnerships becomes more important, not less.”

This year’s theme, “Anchored in Unchanging Principles: Cyber at Agentic Velocity,” reflects this inflection point. Intelligent systems are increasingly sensing signals, supporting decisions and triggering actions. As a result, the time it takes to move from these signals to decision and consequence is compressing, raising new questions around delegated authority, human judgement and accountability.

Across three days, the programme will address what cybersecurity at agentic velocity means in practice, from defending core systems against evolving threats and designing secure, future-ready architectures, to strengthening governance, people and collective action as cyber risks increasingly cross organisational, sectoral and national boundaries.

More than 300 speakers will contribute perspectives from across the public and private sectors, including Jonathan Zanger, Chief Technology Officer, Check Point Software Technologies; Therese Quieta, Head of System Engineering, Centre for Advanced Technologies in Online Safety (CATOS), A*STAR; David Koh, Deputy Chairman, Ensign InfoSecurity; Bartley Richardson, Chief AI and Autonomous Systems Officer, CrowdStrike; Hoo Chuan Wei, Chief Information Security Officer, StarHub; Snehal Antani, Co-founder and CEO, Horizon3.ai; Kavitha Mariappan, Chief Transformation Officer, Rubrik; and Amir Ben-Efraim, Co-founder and Executive Chairman, Menlo Security.

GovWare 2026 will also examine what these shifts mean for sectors where cyber disruption can have wider economic and societal consequences, through closed-door Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Forums for Financial Services and Healthcare.

The Financial Services CII Forum will examine AI governance, post-quantum readiness, technology concentration risk and maintaining financial services during disruption, including a live incident scenario, “Keeping Money Moving.” The Healthcare CII Forum will focus on patient safety and continuity of care, spanning AI adoption, third-party risk and operational resilience, including “Keeping Care Running: Operational & Cyber Resilience in Action,” a scenario-driven discussion on sustaining care during active cyber disruption.

The exhibition floor will further reflect GovWare’s international reach, with country pavilions from the Czech Republic, Finland, France and, for the first time, Italy. Bringing together cybersecurity companies and capabilities from across Europe, the pavilions will provide a gateway for international innovation and expertise to connect with the region’s cybersecurity community.

Local cybersecurity innovation will also be represented through a showcase jointly presented by the CyberSG Research & Development Programme Office (CRPO) and CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre, which will bring together 10 cybersecurity innovators in a dedicated showcase. These include StrongKeep, AI Guardian and AgentSure with technologies spanning AI security, agentic AI accountability and post-quantum readiness, demonstrating how Singapore-based research and innovation are being translated into real-world applications.

Across the conference and exhibition, GovWare 2026 will connect perspectives from across markets and sectors, reflecting the increasingly global and interconnected nature of the cybersecurity challenges facing organisations today.

Registration for GovWare 2026 is now open. For the latest agenda, speakers and exhibition highlights, visit www.govware.sg.

TuringData Launches ContextCube at Tech Week Singapore 2026, Bringing Shared KV Cache to GPU Inference Clusters

Published

SINGAPORE, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — TuringData today launched ContextCube, a purpose-built KV cache appliance that gives AI inference clusters a shared, persistent pool of context.

Unveiled at Tech Week Singapore 2026, ContextCube enables participating inference nodes to retrieve matching cached KV over RDMA instead of repeatedly computing or storing the same context. This reduces time to first token, frees GPU cycles for token generation and supports greater throughput and concurrency.

As prompts grow longer and requests move between servers, valuable KV cache is often evicted or becomes inaccessible because it is held locally. ContextCube addresses this challenge by making previously computed context reusable across the cluster.

Designed on the NVIDIA CMX inference-storage reference architecture, ContextCube adds a shared Layer 3.5 alongside GPU HBM, DRAM and local NVMe storage. Active computation remains on GPUs while reusable context is retained in a large, cluster-wide cache.

Key capabilities include:

Hundreds of terabytes of shared KV cache, with retention ranging from hours to weeks depending on configuration, workload and cache policy120 GB/s KV bandwidth per appliance*DPU-based data movement using four NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPUs26 U.2 NVMe drives and two 200 Gb/s ports per DPUCompatibility with inference engines including vLLM and SGLang, and KV cache software including TuringData Cache Fabric, LMCache and MooncakeStarting deployments from one appliance

ContextCube is designed for context-intensive workloads, including AI agents, coding assistants, multi-turn conversations, long-document processing, retrieval-augmented generation and large-scale “token factories.”

“As context windows grow and AI agents move into production, the same context is being computed again and again on every server,” said Jenvik Li, Founder and CEO of TuringData. “ContextCube gives the whole cluster one place to keep that work, so GPUs can spend their time generating new tokens instead of rebuilding old ones.”

ContextCube is available to order now. Visit www.turingdata.io/contact-us.
