PointClickCare Introduces AI-Informed SNF Discharge Planning Intelligence, Giving Health Plans, ACOs, and Hospitals a Unified View of Discharge Plan Completeness

New capabilities bring structured assessments and AI-curated discharge insights together to help care managers coordinate safer, faster transitions from skilled nursing facilities
TORONTO, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — PointClickCare, a leading health tech company helping providers deliver exceptional care, today announced new AI capabilities for skilled nursing facility (SNF) discharge planning that provide care management teams at ACOs, hospitals, and health plans with a clearer, earlier, and more complete view of discharge activity within SNFs. These enhancements to PointClickCare’s PAC Management solution will be introduced at the AHIP 2026 Annual Conference on June 9-10.
For care management teams, discharge planning within SNFs has long been a blind spot. Today, discharge planning spans multiple care teams and systems. While SNFs coordinate follow-up appointments, home health referrals, durable medical equipment (DME), and discharge disposition, those details are often scattered across assessments, progress notes, and workflows that are not easily accessible to downstream care teams. When these critical transition details do not follow the patient across care settings, it results in fragmented coordination and potentially avoidable readmissions. According to Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the average hospital readmission costs $15,200, underscoring just how quickly discharge planning gaps can become a major financial and operational burden.
“Today, discharge planning is a black box. Care managers chase updates through phone calls and faxes, while SNFs repeatedly relay the same information to multiple stakeholders,” said Shaun Hardin, senior director of product management at PointClickCare. “By bringing AI-informed discharge planning insights into a shared workflow while the patient is still in the SNF, providers can reduce friction, coordinate transitions more effectively, and help prevent avoidable readmissions. This ultimately leads to better care delivery and safer patient transitions.”
As the leading electronic health record (EHR), connected to a network of more than 30,000 long-term and post-acute care providers, PointClickCare is uniquely positioned to bring clarity and coordination to discharge planning. Utilizing AI to read, organize, and surface discharge-relevant information provides care teams with earlier visibility into discharge plans and helps reduce manual calls, faxes, and fragmented workflows that slow transitions of care.
PCC’s PAC Management solution now includes:
Shared SNF Discharge Assessments: Care managers at ACOs, hospitals, and health plans can now access the same structured discharge assessments used by SNFs directly within their care coordination workflows. This creates a shared, authoritative record of discharge planning activity, reducing redundancy, eliminating information gaps, and establishing a common foundation for transition coordination.SNF Discharge Planning Insight: New AI capabilities automatically read and organize discharge-relevant information buried across SNF progress notes and clinical documentation. For each patient, care managers can now clearly see details that matter for a safe transition, while the SNF stay is still in progress. Care management teams no longer have to wait for discharge information or manually piece together data from multiple sources. The insight needed to coordinate services, plan outreach, and prevent failed transitions of care is now available exactly when it is needed, in one place.
PointClickCare will demo the enhanced PAC Management solution at AHIP26, during a theater session titled, “Enabling Care Management as a Proactive Cost Containment Strategy,” on June 10 from 8:45–9:00 a.m. PDT. Care management leaders are invited to learn how PointClickCare is solving for transitions of care across the continuum. Discover how our enhanced PAC Management solution and recently launched Discharge Intel, which delivers critical clinical intelligence within 24 hours of hospital discharge, are helping organizations eliminate blind spots, close care gaps, and drive better outcomes across all care settings.

Financial Outlook
Blackbaud today reaffirmed its 2026 full year financial guidance and expects to finish in the upper half of the range across all four key metrics:
GAAP revenue of $1.173 billion to $1.179 billionNon-GAAP adjusted EBITDA of $430 million to $438 millionNon-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $5.15 to $5.25Non-GAAP free cash flow of $280 million to $290 million
Included in its 2026 full year financial guidance are the following updated assumptions:
Non-GAAP annualized effective tax rate is expected to be approximately 24.5%Interest expense for the year is expected to be approximately $62 million to $66 millionDiluted weighted average shares outstanding for the year are expected to be approximately 45.0 million to 46.0 millionCapital expenditures for the year are expected to be approximately $60 million to $70 million, including approximately $52 million to $62 million of capitalized software development costs
Blackbaud has not reconciled forward-looking full-year non-GAAP financial measures contained in this news release to their most directly comparable GAAP measures, as permitted by Item 10(e)(1)(i)(B) of Regulation S-K. Such reconciliations would require unreasonable efforts at this time to estimate and quantify with a reasonable degree of certainty various necessary GAAP components, including for example those related to compensation, acquisition transactions and integration, tax items or others that may arise during the year. These components and other factors could materially impact the amount of the future directly comparable GAAP measures, which may differ significantly from their non-GAAP counterparts.
Stock Repurchase Program
As of June 30, 2026, Blackbaud had approximately $850 million remaining under its common stock repurchase program that was expanded, replenished and reauthorized in December 2025. Based on our current plans, and stock repurchases to date, we expect total repurchases during 2026 to represent between 6% and 10.0% of our outstanding common stock as of December 31, 2025.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures
Blackbaud has provided in this release financial information that has not been prepared in accordance with GAAP. Blackbaud uses non-GAAP financial measures internally in analyzing its operational performance. Accordingly, Blackbaud believes these non-GAAP measures are useful to investors, as a supplement to GAAP measures, in evaluating its ongoing operational performance and trends and in comparing its financial results from period-to-period with other companies in Blackbaud’s industry, many of which present similar non-GAAP financial measures to investors. However, these non-GAAP financial measures may not be completely comparable to similarly titled measures of other companies due to potential differences in the exact method of calculation between companies.
The non-GAAP financial measures discussed above exclude the impact of certain transactions that Blackbaud believes are not directly related to its operating performance in any particular period, but are for its long-term benefit over multiple periods. Blackbaud believes these non-GAAP financial measures reflect its ongoing business in a manner that allows for meaningful period-to-period comparisons and analysis of trends in its business.
While Blackbaud believes these non-GAAP measures provide useful supplemental information, non-GAAP financial measures should not be considered in isolation from, or as a substitute for, financial information prepared in accordance with GAAP. Investors are encouraged to review the reconciliations of these non-GAAP measures to their most directly comparable GAAP financial measures.
Non-GAAP free cash flow is defined as operating cash flow less capital expenditures, including costs required to be capitalized for software development, and capital expenditures for property and equipment. Blackbaud believes non-GAAP free cash flow provides a useful measure of the company’s operating performance. Non-GAAP free cash flow is not intended to represent and should not be viewed as the amount of residual cash flow available for discretionary expenditures.
In addition, Blackbaud uses non-GAAP organic revenue growth, non-GAAP organic revenue growth on a constant currency basis, non-GAAP organic recurring revenue growth and non-GAAP organic recurring revenue growth on a constant currency basis, in analyzing its operating performance. Blackbaud believes that these non-GAAP measures are useful to investors, as a supplement to GAAP measures, for evaluating the periodic growth of its business on a consistent basis. Each of these measures excludes incremental acquisition-related revenue attributable to companies, if any, acquired in the current fiscal year. For companies acquired in the immediately preceding fiscal year, each of these measures reflects presentation of full-year incremental non-GAAP revenue derived from such companies as if they were combined throughout the prior period. In addition, each of these measures excludes prior period revenue associated with divested businesses, if any. The exclusion of the prior period revenue is to present the results of the divested businesses within the results of the combined company for the same period of time in both the prior and current periods. Blackbaud believes this presentation provides a more comparable representation of its current business’ organic revenue growth and revenue run-rate.
Rule of 40 is defined as non-GAAP organic revenue growth plus non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA margin. Non-GAAP adjusted EBITDA is defined as GAAP net income plus interest, net; income tax provision (benefit); depreciation; amortization of intangible assets from business combinations; amortization of software development costs; stock-based compensation expense; Global Capabilities Center (“GCC”) workforce transition costs; acquisition and disposition-related costs; and Security Incident-related costs.

(1) GCC workforce transition costs represent severance and other costs incurred in connection with the transition of certain roles to our Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, India.
(2) Includes charges of $24.3 million incurred during the six months ended June 30, 2025 related to the release from our lease for office space in Washington, DC.
(3) We use a non-GAAP effective tax rate of 24.5% when calculating non-GAAP net income and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share. We base this rate on our estimated annual GAAP income tax rate, adjusted for items excluded from GAAP income when calculating non-GAAP income and for significant nonrecurring tax adjustments. We review this non-GAAP tax rate annually to determine whether it remains appropriate for evaluating our financial performance. In conducting this review, we consider our GAAP annual effective tax rate, changes in tax legislation, non-GAAP adjustments, and shifts in the geographic mix of revenues and expenses. We also evaluate other factors that we deem significant. Because the tax treatment of non-GAAP adjustments differs from GAAP and because of our methodology for estimating the annual tax rate, the non-GAAP tax rate may differ from the GAAP tax rate and from our actual tax liabilities.

(1) Non-GAAP revenue from divested businesses excludes revenue associated with divested businesses in the prior period. The exclusion of the prior period revenue is to present the results of the divested business with the results of the combined company for the same period of time in both the prior and current periods.
(2) Non-GAAP organic revenue and non-GAAP organic recurring revenue for the prior year periods presented herein may not agree to non-GAAP organic revenue and non-GAAP organic recurring revenue presented in the respective prior period quarterly financial information solely due to the manner in which non-GAAP organic revenue growth and non-GAAP organic recurring revenue growth are calculated.
(3) To determine non-GAAP organic revenue growth and non-GAAP organic recurring revenue growth on a constant currency basis, revenues from entities reporting in foreign currencies were translated to U.S. Dollars using the comparable prior period’s quarterly weighted average foreign currency exchange rates. The primary foreign currencies creating the impact are the Australian Dollar, British Pound, Canadian Dollar and Euro.

Following Its AHRMM26 Debut, Genesis Opens Agentic AI Design Partner Program for Hospital Supply Chain Leaders

After unveiling its Surgical Procedure Cost Savings Agent at AHRMM26, Genesis invites hospitals and health systems in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland to join its Agentic AI Design Partner Program.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. and CORK, Ireland, July 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Following its debut at AHRMM26, Genesis Automation Healthcare has opened its Agentic AI Design Partner Program to hospitals and health systems in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland. At the conference, the company gave the first public demonstration of its Surgical Procedure Cost Savings Agent, and is now inviting supply chain leaders to help shape it.
In a live demonstration during the Supply Chain Spotlight session, “The Agent in the Room: Turning OR Spend into Savings with Agentic AI,” Genesis President Jason Smith showed how the agent ran against real clinical data, compressing into a single 30-minute session an operating-room cost analysis that Genesis believes would typically take a supply chain team up to eight months to complete by hand. The agent generated a surgeon-versus-surgeon cost scorecard, identified standardization opportunities, and surfaced contract-alignment recommendations, before closing with a one-click governance pack that consolidated the findings into a single value analysis. Every finding carried the clinical context, confidence score, and reasoning behind it.
Smith said, “The agent today recommends, simulates, and alerts. It does not decide, and it does not act unless a healthcare professional chooses to act on its recommendation. That is deliberate. Hospitals have been consistent: they want AI to surface patterns and flag anomalies, with their clinicians and expert staff in the loop to make the call.”
The agent is built on Genesis’s foundation of more than 10 years of operational clinical supply chain data and workflow integration across more than 400 hospital sites, with 1.64 million real perioperative procedures underpinning the prototype shown at AHRMM26.
Join the Agentic AI Design Partner Program
The Agentic AI Design Partner Program is now open. Genesis invites hospital and health system executives in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland to pressure-test the agent, refine it against their own data, define where the trust line sits in their organization, and shape the rollout on their terms. Every participating site will complete a data-readiness review before the agent is enabled, consistent with Genesis’s position that a good recommendation depends on good data.

Firm expands national in-house quantum computing capability to help shape the next wave of technological changeInvestment marks a shift from quantum experimentation to solving real business challenges for clientsAdvancement of in-house quantum capabilities helps organizations process highly sensitive data entirely within Canadian borders
TORONTO, July 29, 2026 /CNW/ — Traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples – EY Canada today announced the expansion of its quantum computing capabilities to help clients solve increasingly complex business challenges in areas of optimization, fraud detection and large-scale risk management. The investment in an on-site quantum computer further enables the processing of highly sensitive workloads within Canadian borders, helping organizations meet growing security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
“We’re shifting the conversation on quantum computing from concept to practical use for our clients in Canada and globally,” said Biren Agnihotri, Chief Technology Officer, EY Canada. “Quantum computing has the ability to solve complex challenges that classical computing alone cannot address. By combining local and global talent, ecosystem collaboration and leading-edge in-house quantum infrastructure, we’re accelerating how organizations translate quantum innovation into real-world capability.”
Moving from experimentation to real-world application
EY is continuing its Client Zero approach, developing and testing quantum-enabled solutions within its own environment to help move visionary ideas toward practical use for clients. Owning the system in-house helps organizations meet stringent regulatory, privacy and industry requirements that cloud-based alternatives cannot always address.
The new capability provides dedicated access and greater control over the development of new applications, including where data resides, how it is managed and who can access it. This includes enhancing the testing, refinement and validation of quantum-enabled solutions in areas such as financial optimization, advanced fraud detection, data protection and large-scale system planning. These applications span financial services, energy, supply chain and government, where organizations increasingly need to balance operational complexity with data sovereignty, privacy and regulatory requirements.
“We’re proud to continue embracing innovation early to help shape the next wave of technological change,” says Alycia Calvert, EY Canada Chair and CEO. “Strengthening our foundational technologies in-house helps us unlock future breakthroughs that benefit both our people and our business.”
This investment builds on EY’s recent quantum patent and strengthens the ability to help clients identify where quantum can deliver measurable value while advancing Canada’s position in the global quantum tech ecosystem through local innovation.
Driving global innovation forward
The new quantum capability is part of EY’s global investment of more than US$3 billion in AI and next-generation technologies, helping clients move beyond experimentation to unlock new opportunities in forecasting, optimization, decision intelligence and risk management. The investment also aligns with ey.ai The Reimagination Engine, EY’s AI-led technology system designed to help organizations transform with confidence.
